Frequently Asked Questions

We've tried to document and answer any question raised by our clients to date.  If you have any specific questions or would like any additional info on any of the documented answers below.  Please contact us via our forms at the bottom of the page.

Who's AdjustED for?

We had originally designed the app for teaching staff at schools however the app can be setup and used by individuals and professionals that need to record, track and report on adjustment data.  We can set you up as an individual or as a group/school.

How much does it cost?

We are waiving fees for trials during the 2024 school year for nominated schools and individuals.  If you'd like to be a part of these trials please email us at keegan.ramsey@adjusted-app.com.au .

We will confirm pricing during our analytic trials and update our website soon.

Can adjustments be customized?

Yes!  Although we provide a default suite of domain adjustments per disability inclusion Australia, you have the ability to Edit/Add/Remove these adjustments to suit your business needs.

What personal information do you store?

For authentication purposes we need your name and an active email address.  We only use this information for app identification/authorization.  We will also send you email updates with software release information and product enhancements (which you can opt out of).  In regard to your student information, you are in control of this.  You can upload as much or little personal information as you need.  We do not access or use student information in any way.  You own this data.

Who owns my data.

You do.  We securely store the data (see details below) and manage it as part of the service, however once you unsubscribe from the application all your personal information will be removed after 90 days (by default).  We can do this immediately and provide it to you in spreadsheets and zip files when requested (for a fee).

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored in secure data centres.

Can I take my data with me?

Yes.  If you decide to move on from the application we can provide exports of all of your data for a fee.  Alternatively it will automatically be deleted after 90 days of inactivity.

Who are you?

AdjustED app is created and distributed by TARSK Consultants. 

We are a new startup that has recently been accepted into the Microsoft Founders Hub program, but despite its youthful appearance, the company boasts over 20 years of commercial and government experience in delivering technology applications.

By joining the program, TARSK consultants (and the AdjustED App) has access to a vast network of industry leaders, investors, and Microsoft experts who can help bring AdjustED to life in the most secure and accessible way..

Is the app certified with the department of education?

Not yet.  The app is still in its infancy.  We will be seeking o government certification and will make whatever changes neccessary to do so.

What type of service is provided

We provide Software as a Service (SaaS) in the form of a native iOS and Android application.

You can register and use the product via our customer portal too.

What type of cloud deployment model is employed

Private cloud for our app service application programming interface (API) and database.

What security controls are employed by the you to protect the confidentiality and integrity of the customers data?

We only use Microsoft Azure cloud.  Please refer to the following security overview

How will the users authenticate to use this service?

We use Auth0 as the main primary security parameter for application. All the practices we follow, follows theirs. https://auth0.com/security
Without an authorisation token AdjustED data cannot be accessed and this is a combination of the way OAuth2 works and how we have configured our application.
For any addition info on Auth0 please refer to the privacy policy, as documented on their website - https://auth0.com/privacy. It is certified under 1) EU-US Privacy Shield, 2) the Swiss-US Privacy Shield, 3) HIPAA and 4) SOC 2 frameworks - https://auth0.com/docs/compliance
We minimise the amount of data stored in Auth0.  All private information is stored within the AdjustED database.

What technical and process (non-technical) controls are employed by the vendor to prevent its employees or third party service providers to inadvertently or maliciously access customer data?

"Advanced data security and auditing are configured for the AdjustED database along with threat detection and performance.
Internally any access to a client database is montored, tracked and autited where required.  Each staff member accessing a client database is automatically recorded (name and timestamp).  All passwords and account details are stored securely."

What mechanisms are implemented to prevent corruption or loss of data? How does the vendor guarantee the integrity and availability of data? What fall-back does each client have should any data be corrupted or tampered (This includes offsite backups)?

Backups are taken and kept for 35 days.  We allow for point in time restore for any of these backups.  We do not keep long term backups.
Backups can be supplied to a customer by request.  This will incur additional fees.
